  • Access to all available training sessions included in your membership, each training session is a run by a British Powerlifting trained coach
  • An assessment during your first session of your physical and mental wellbeing that covers areas such as strength, mobility, imbalances, lifestyle pressures, mental well being, injury history
  • Assigned a coach and given a free Strength training program devised by the Coaching group. Your coach will guide you through the program, help you each week to complete it, give you guidance on your development through it and be your point of contact for questions and any help you might need.

  • Free competition day Coaching under BWL, British Powerlifting or Swindon Barbell’s own organised comps. (excluding expenses, availability dependent).

    I understand the payment scheme above and that by joining the club I agree to the following:
    1.Conduct
    a.To behave in a way that in no way brings the club into disrepute.
    b.Uphold to the best of my ability the constitution of the club.
    c.I agree to a NO SMOKING policy when in Club attire or when within the grounds of the training or event facilities.

    GYM RULES
    •Not take photographs or videos on the premises or post remarks or imagery to the internet that could identify another Member without their permission.
    •Replace equipment back onto the racks after you have finished with it.
    •Wear suitable clothing and footwear when exercising (denim, bare feet, flip-flops, boots or a bare torso are amongst the range of clothing choices that is unsuitable).
    •Use the gym facilities and equipment in a proper manner and not in a way that might cause harm to yourself or others (just ask a member of staff if you are unsure).
    •Not use, block or interfere with fire, emergency or disabled access doors or alarms (except in a genuine emergency).
    •Not behave in an aggressive, abusive, intimidating, anti-social or threatening manner or in a way that might cause distress to staff or Members.

    2.Substances
    a.Refrain from the use of performance-enhancing or other substances under the regulated banned substances list in line with WADA regulations.

    3.Fiscal
    a.To complete, in full, the required subs by each deadline. Any non payment will result in the member being suspended from training and competitive events until any owed subs are completed.

    4.Equipment
    a.Ensure club and personal equipment are maintained to a BWL/British Powerlifting regulation state.
    b.To return any items of club loaned equipment when instructed to do so by the Chairman.
    c.I understand any equipment not reported as destroyed or missing to the Equipment Manager before the return deadline will render me liable for the financial recompense of the missing equipment.

    COVID-19 measures

    We will be operating under government guidance all the while the risk of COVID-19 is still about. In light of that, you agree to follow all policies and procedures, updates and government guidance related to infection control and personal hygiene.

    Anyone who fails to follow these will risk having their membership cancelled

    CCTV policy
    Please note that all of our gyms are monitored by CCTV 24 hours a day. Swindon Barbell reserves the right for its employees and contractors to review footage as required and by entering onto our sites you consent to your image being recorded and reviewed and waive any and all claims in relation to same. Recorded CCTV footage will be stored securely and retained in compliance with the Data Protection Act 1998 and GDPR 2018.
